cam loves a good party. this party was the first birthday of brooks- the son of one of my former colleagues. former because she decided to stay at home with him. good for her. she's loving it.
i didn't take these amazing pictures- one of the guests at the party took them. kimberly was kind enough to send them to me.
I rediscovered it when Cam was a baby and thought it was the best lullaby. He listened to it so much that he'd imitate the ooooohhhh part at the beginning.
Then my stepdad died. His lovely niece did a hula to this song at his funeral.
I can't listen to it anymore without remembering her laying her maile leaf lei across his coffin.
I still love the song, but it's hard to listen to now.
i don't know if this is going to be the new big thing. vox.
about a year ago, i went to a typepad focus group and they were testing out their new product- comet. i guess the name comet was dumped in favor of vox. the focus group was experienced typepad members evaluating the comet/vox concept. appears that there is more of a myspace element than was in the comet concept.
most said it would be great for their mother or someone who was tech phobic.
anyhow, i'm trying it out.
don't like the ads- wish there was a way to opt out (pay?)
don't believe that vox w ill replace my typepad account, but seeing as i like to get in on the ground floor, here i am.
we'll see what comes of it.
